Transformation Research & Performance

What is needed to truly bring about a transition?

This ‘ensemble’ consists of an illustrator, trainer, masseur, director, and theater maker. The ‘actors’ explore the theme to clarify what ‘the piece’ is about and which facets come into play. Various real-life situations provide the context for playing scenes. Through tools such as Psychological Gesture, atmosphere, and imagination, what is ‘skipped’ in reality/practice becomes tangible. In people, in the process, and in the whole. This information is crucial to actually achieve transformation. From this insight, the route and conditions needed for fundamental transformation slowly reveal themselves. Awareness of how to facilitate this grows. “The ‘playful exploration’ clarified that, in my role as a teacher, I’ve been trying to operate on two levels simultaneously for years, and that it’s impossible. The procedural side of the school system operates with performance and time pressure, and on the existential side, you want to be there with the children so they can learn through discovery. By decoupling these two levels, I could be more present and leave the system in peace. This leads to much more profound exchanges with children and young people, allowing them to unleash their creativity more easily. Essentially, it’s a shift from ‘intelligence’ to ‘awareness,’ enabling you to see the other as an individual within the whole, even when you see them struggling with issues that the school system doesn’t address. Then, everyone can breathe again. This is one of the examples we have encountered so far in our research on transformation – an exciting process but something that is truly necessary in these times.”
