The Miraculous Journey

is a project about aging, vitality, and MEANING.

In The Miraculous Journey, you travel together, listen to the adventures of various members of the travel party, and collectively explore where you are now, where you would like to go, and how you want to proceed.

We let this future perspective unfold. By exchanging ideas, stepping into ‘the unknown’ (theatrical and musical entrance), and saying YES to the unexpected (perhaps hatching an egg?). We take paths you wouldn’t usually take. We don’t predetermine the outcome but engage our creativity, activity, and agency.

Doris and Marjolein provide the framework, guide the creative process, and keep the space open. Moving away from old images & perspectives by setting them in motion. This way, each participant can embark on the journey in a form and pace that suits them.

Short or Long Journey

In the project, you can opt for a short or a long journey, consisting of 2 or 6 workshops respectively, combined with the performance The Miraculous Journey of Fi.

The Long Journey in collaboration with Kempenaerstudio

The workshops commence in January 2024. Four Wednesday afternoons and one Sunday afternoon (17/1, 31/1, 14/2, 25/2, 6/3 from 13:00 – 16:30). The Presentation is on Sunday, 17/3. Registration closed.

The Long Journey in collaboration with Reigershoeve / Uitjezorg

The workshops start after the performance on March 8, 2024, at Evelaer in Heemskerk on Wednesday afternoons from 16:00 to 19:30 with soup and bread (27/3, 17/4, 24/4, 8/5, 22/5). The Presentation is on 5/6. For information and registration, contact Uitjezorg.

The Long Journey in collaboration with Odensehuis Bloemendaal

The workshops take place in Bloemendaal on Thursdays from 12:30 to 16:30 (27/3, 17/4, 24/4, 8/5, 22/5). The Presentation is on 30/5. For more information & registration, contact Maaike Sliering.

The Long Journey in collaboration with Odensehuis Amsterdam Zuid
